Painting for me is way of approaching and exploring the world around me. Whether it is a scene in the mountains,  waves crashing or figures entering a screen porch, I find myself compelled and challenged to transfer what I see to paper or canvas and by so doing hopefully convince someone who looks at my painting to see the extraordinary qualities, which I saw and made me want to paint.
