Charlotte Rodenberg uses her art to trigger meditative self reflection and critical dialog around political issues and current events. Her work builds narrative by visually trapping the viewer with seductive plays of color and design, allowing the psychological and political undertones to unfold. Her community driven projects have been hosted in Portland Oregon, Seattle Washington, Arizona and Mexico. Rodenberg is a prolific maker, using repetitive symbolic imagery to get her often taboo topics across. She is the recipient of several VCU Dean’s Grants, the Anderson Space Grant and a Jentel Artist Residency. Her work is included in the permanent collection at the Try Me Gallery.
