Art from Berlin- AN EXHIBIT OF FIVE ARTISTS FROM GERMANY OPENS AT THE PAGE BOND GALLERY APRIL 6 2007

Richmond, VA- The Page Bond Gallery is pleased to present its second international exhibition of new work by five artists in Art from Berlin on loan from an artist project space, Kunstoffice, in Germany. Art from Berlin opens at the Page Bond Gallery, 1625 West Main Street, on Friday, April 6 with a reception from 7 to 9pm.

Art From Berlin will feature 25 works displayed in a reproduction of the Kunstoffice, a gallery in Berlin that serves as a concept space where artists and those interested in art gather to discuss relevant issues concerning each exhibit. The exhibit showcases works by Carola Goellner, Malgorzata Janowska, Ancz E. Kokowskisi, Karina Spechter, and M. Straub and is collaboratively curated by Pete Meyer, one of the founders of Kunstoffice and Carole Garmon, Associate Professor of Art at the University of Mary Washington.

“Art exists through the absence of force and obligation, the freedom to use anything and everything as a possibility for the artistic creation process. The restriction then is that art understands this absence of force,” says Pete Meyer in his statement about the Kunstoffice Agenda.
